Oral Health Patient Navigator

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I would be a teacher and a mom when I grew up. Today, my role at The Mom and Dad Project is a Community Educator and Oral Health Patient Navigator. I have been employed with Bear Valley Community Healthcare District for 5 years and have been working at The Mom and Dad Project since 2019. I have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a Counseling Concentration. It is my pleasure to educate and encourage proper oral hygiene to children and families within Big Bear Valley. I am also a Certified Facilitator of the Nurturing Parent Curriculum. I enjoy instructing Enrichment classes and bringing creative play to the little ones through our daytime classes. Something you should know about me is that you can always count on me. I will always show up and do what I said I will. Another thing that you should know about me is that listening to music is my favorite past time. This is the one thing that brings me peace no matter what’s happening around me. The best piece of advice I have ever been given, was by a friend who quoted Janis Joplin. “Do not compromise yourself. You are all that you have got.” And I have lived by this since.
