Maternal Health Coordinator

When I was five, I was pretty sure that I would be at mother when I grew up, and I am blessed to be the mother of four beautiful children! I have been employed at The Mom & Dad Project for 10 years, and have had the privilege of working with many families and getting to be a part of their family’s lives. I am your Maternal Health Coordinator here at the Mom & Dad Project. I love working with families, and my main focus here is to ensure that the health, well-being and educational needs of mothers and their families are met. I have a degree in Psychology and am a Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Lactation Educator and I am certified to teach the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum. I love connecting with families who are beginning their journey of parenting, and staying connected with them and supporting them during their child’s different developmental stages. Parenting can be challenging and difficult, especially without supports or resources for help. It is my desire to serve each family with love and dignity, and to help strengthen families and our community by doing the work I do. I heard this quote once about parenting, and it has resonated with me. “Parenting is the easiest thing in the world to have an opinion about, but the hardest thing in the world to do.” ~Matt Walsh Finally, two things that you should know about me, I love to cook and eat good food, and you may find me singing karaoke now and again.
