Tania Vara

Latino Outreach Coordinator

When I was five, I was sure I would be sharing my story when I grew up. A story about two siblings from a broken home, one of them with Cerebral Palsy and the youngest, who was always taking care of her oldest brother. The story that shaped the woman I am now. I currently hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and a Postgraduate Degree in Marketing. I became a mom 9 years ago and that’s when my passion about Parenthood began. I joined The Mom & Dad Project team in January 2019 as a Latino Outreach Coordinator. Since then, I have obtained Certification in the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum, I am a certified Childbirth Educator, and am also certified in Domestic Violence and Trauma & Parenting. Something you should know about me, is that I married into a long time Bear Valley family and because of this I have come to understand the needs of our Hispanic community. My husband & I were participants in programs at The Mom & Dad Project when expecting both of our children as well as in programs during their infancy. I am well aware of the benefits The Mom & Dad Project can bring and would like to be part of bringing those benefits/programs to our Hispanic community. The best advice I have been given that I can pass on to others is to “Live one day at a time.”
